Why did he want to join our dental team? Spencer wanted to be part of a dynamic growing business. He comments, “We are the perfect size to provide patient care in four locations and flexible enough to adapt to patient needs.”
Spencer grew up in the UK. After twenty-five years living in Colorado, Spencer and his family moved to Gig Harbor and have lived here for five years. Embracing harbor life, he enjoys Dragon Boat racing, motorcycling and gardening the back yard “jungle.” Oso Bear, the big dog and Boots the small dog round out his busy week.

Brittany is from Gig Harbor, and she was personally trained by Dr. Olsson. Today, what she enjoys most about being a dental assistant is having the power to help patients feel better about themselves!
Brittany is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two fur babies at home. She also has two older brothers and one younger sister – in fact, most people think her sister is her twin.
When she isn’t busy at the practice, her favorite hobbies include boating in the summer, wake surfing, wakeboarding, camping in the Great Pacific Northwest, watching football (GO HAWKS), and playing fantasy football.
Tara enrolled as an Alumni at Penn Foster Career School graduating from their Dental Assistant program in 2016. She says, “as a biracial female, I knew from previous life experiences that my passion was helping people, especially the under-privileged and immigrant populations.” With this intent, she began her profession working as a Dental Assistant in Community Health. She loves working in the dental field because every day is an opportunity to make a dramatic and positive difference in someone’s life. She says her job is more than assisting a dentist; her job is one of reassurance, empathy and compassion.
Tara grew up in Canada, but moved to the US nearly ten years ago. Now that she passed her last national board exam to become a CDA, Tara enjoys spending time with her new husband in their new home...soaking in the hot tub, gardening and caring for their little zoo of animals. They can most certainly be found all over Western Washington fishing from their kayaks.
Kat is a graduate of Clover Park Technical College. She assisted in a private general dentistry practice for 2 years before committing to five years to Community Health Care.
Kat’s mother has been her greatest role model when deciding to go into the dental field. She inspired Kat with her excellent patient care, how she commands the room and makes every patient feel comfortable and confident knowing that their dental needs and best interests are taken to heart.
What does Kat like about the dental field? “When my patients leave their appointments smiling and confident knowing that their needs are being taken care of. A smile is so important. It’s what makes us feel beautiful on the inside out and can affect how we perceive ourselves.”
Kat was born into the military (Air Force) in Okinawa, Japan and lived there for 7 years before moving to Abilene, TX. When her dad decided to retire, they moved to Washington in 2001.
During Kat’s free time, she spends time with her young son and his father. She loves to read a good book to relax and listen to music on long drives and let her mind and imagination wander. What’s her latest challenge? Developing a green thumb!

We welcome Tammy to Puget Sound Endodontic Associates as a new Dental Assistant. Her background as a Dental Lab technician helped her easily transition to her new career. Tammy finished the Dental Lab Technician program at Bates Technical College, then found out that she loves to be in dental field but didn’t like to sit in the same spot of the lab every day. And she likes to work with patients more!
As a young person, growing up in Vietnam, she always enjoyed dental visits and thought a dental office was an awesome working environment. “Puget South Endodontic Associates is my first workplace of my career, everybody in the clinics is so nice and kind, that’s what makes me happy to go to work every day.”
Tammy says she is “weirdly attracted to teeth” and smiles and teeth are the first thing she notices about a person! She enjoys this line of work because she like working with teeth and helping patients, gets to meet new people everyday and is learning new things every day. And she loves working with everyone at Puget Sound Endodontic Associates! We are happy to have Tammy as part of our endo family.

For a lot of people, when they come in, they are in pain, so to help them is a great feeling.” Jessica has always enjoyed making people smile and laugh.
Born and raised in Washington, Jessica has lived out in the Tahuya State Forest her entire life. She loves the beauty and peacefulness of our state!
