Sedation Services and Choices

Puget Sound Endodontic Associates recognizes the common concerns and anxieties associated with root canal treatment.  The primary goal is to make your experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.  Various sedation options are offered, tailored to individual needs and comfort levels:

Nitrous Oxide:  A safe and effective methos for reducing anxiety, promoting relaxation during root canal treatment.

Oral Sedation:  Allows you to enter a relaxed state while remaining aware of your surroundings, though you may have little memory of the procedure afterwards.

IV Sedation:  Provides a deeper level of relaxation, often leading to a dream-like state, ideal for patients with moderate to severe dental anxiety.  IV Sedation services are administered by highly experienced local anesthesiologists:

Insurance Information

In-Network Dental Insurance

If you have in-network dental insurance, we will estimate the portion your insurance is going to pay and collect the estimated remainder from you at your appointment. Please keep in mind, insurance companies routinely indicate that coverage verification does not guarantee payment. If your insurance pays more than the estimated amount, we will mail you a refund check. If your insurance pays less than the estimated amount, you will receive a statement from us.

NOTE:  If your insurance company does not reimburse us after 2 submissions, you will be responsible for the remainder of the balance since we were unable to collect from them.

Out-of-Network Dental Insurance

If you have out-of-network dental insurance, we will collect payment in full from you at your appointment. As a courtesy, we will then file a claim on your behalf to your insurance company. Reimbursement from your insurance company will be paid directly to you.

If you do not have dental insurance, we will collect payment in full from you at your appointment.

REVIEWING FINANCIAL AGREEMENT
Appointment Cancellations
and No Shows

When you schedule an appointment with PSEA, we prepare equipment and set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality Endodontic care. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact our office no later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. This gives us time to schedule other patients who may be waiting for an appointment.

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment and have not given us 48 hours notice, you will be considered a No Show. When you reschedule your appointment, we will remind you of this policy.

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment a second time, we will access a $50 charge and remind you of this policy again. Your insurance company will not be charged.

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment a third time, we will access a $150 charge. Your insurance company will not be charged. We will contact your Dentist who referred you to PSEA and update them that we will no longer reschedule more appointments.

We understand unforeseen emergencies may occur and you may not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. Please contact our Office Manager to discuss extenuating circumstances.

Voicemail messages left at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time will be acceptable.
