Dr. Steve Baerg was raised in Gig Harbor, Washington, where he began his academic journey at Bellarmine Preparatory School before earning his undergraduate degree at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. He then relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, to complete his dental training at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Baerg completed a general dentistry hospital residency in San Diego, California, before returning to Boston to complete his advanced specialty training in endodontics at Boston University.
Clinical Expertise & Credentials
Dr. Baerg is a distinguished leader in his field and a proud Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He shares his knowledge as a former Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Department of Endodontics and has served as President of both the Washington State Association of Endodontists and the International Academy of Endodontics. In addition to his work on various committees for the American Association of Endodontists, Dr. Baerg has lectured extensively and published on conservative approaches to endodontic care, including authoring a textbook chapter on the subject. He also maintains active leadership roles within several local study clubs.
Life Outside the Office
Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Baerg prioritizes spending quality time with his wife, Stephanie, and their three grown children. He remains highly active in his personal life, regularly participating in numerous outdoor sports and activities. He is also a passionate enthusiast of anything and everything related to coffee.
